Help Me With My Makeup!

I'm just a female trying to help my fellow sisters out.

Ever wanted to try a product, but you weren't sure whether or not it was good? I'll help you with all your issues by posting daily advice, reviews, and tips.

There is an FAQ section, so before you ask me a question in the ask box please make sure it's not there or a related answer is there. I will NOT answer questions that are in the FAQ section. All other questions are welcomed!

cocainerodeo asked: To the anon asking for help about evening out their winged liner, a really handy trick is to put a piece of sticky tape from the bottom lash line up in the direction you want your liner to go (for both eyes). It works like a stencil and any excess liner will just go on the tape :)

Thank you for the advice!

Anonymous asked: I have "droopy" eyes that usually make me appear to look sad when I wear eyeliner. I've heard to try the winged look, but do you have any other suggestions that I can try to not appear sad?

These are some tips for you:

  • Line your upper lashes in an upward sloping manner by using a liquid liner or a sharp pencil. Extend the line just a little bit farther than the outer corner of each eye. Avoid any heavy eyeliner on the bottom so that you draw more attention to the top of your eyes.
  • Next, apply a bone-colored eye shadow to the area just above your lashes and to the ‘inner v’ of your eyes. Blend a medium shade starting in the crease to just under the brow bone; this will make the area seem larger. Add a subtle highlighter just below your brow; this will also help draw attention to the upper part of your eye.
  • Finish with a few false lash pieces on the outer corner of your eyes. You can curl these and your natural lashes together. Apply two coats of mascara and if you want, add a white or nude eye liner to the inner rims of your lower lashes. Voila, an instant eye lift!

Anonymous asked: Do you know of any cheap and easy ways to get rid of eye bags? I don't get a lot of sleep even if I try. I use concealer, but I'm getting pretty tired of having to put it on and it's starting to irritate my eyes a bit.

If you want a GREAT home remedy, put 2 tablespoons in a freezer over night, and then in the next morning apply them to your eyes and they should go away pretty quickly.

They have creams that are supposed to help with eye bags, but I find that most of them are very expensive and they don’t work as well as a home remedy.

Hopefully that helps!

Anonymous asked: Whenever I wear liquid eyeliner, I try to wing the ends but one eye's wing always ends up higher than the other. How can I fix this ?

A good tool to fix errors for your everyday makeup mistakes is a Q-Tip! If you over extend on eye, just use the Q-Tip (make sure it’s slightly damp) to take away some of the excess eyeliner and fix the wing. Winged eyeliner is something that takes time to perfect, but if you continue to have that mistake, then using a Q-Tip to fix it will be your best bet!

Hopefully that helps you!

Anonymous asked: What is the best way to cover acne with makeup? Thanks :D

Use a primer to cover your face, and then make sure you use concealer on the area! Concealer has to be 2 shades lighter then your foundation, but it will cover the acne and make it less visible.

I’d mostly recommend avoiding makeup if you have a break out because then it will go away faster!

Hopefully that helps you!
